Insight From D Anthony's Motivational & Inspirational Book

Today’s Insight From D Anthony’s Book, “The Nurse in the Delivery Room Slapped Me… Once: Stories and Perspectives to Help You Unlock Your Amazing Potential”

From time to time my intent is to feature examples of the fresh perspective and uncommon wisdom of some of the maxims and truisms from my motivational and inspirational book in this forum. I share them in hopes that, like many of our readers, you will begin to utilize these encouraging messages as affirmations – beginning to more actively challenge the conventional thinking, be willing to change a paradigm or two and, as a result, that you will begin to more advantageously live life… each day generating at least a little more happiness and fulfillment for yourself and those you care about.

Here is today’s offering from “The Nurse in the Delivery Room Slapped Me… Once” to ponder;

Each and every hour, endeavor to live every second of every minute for all it’s worth, for time is precious. Whatever you do, don’t waste it staring at a clock.

A Motivational & Inspirational Book

“The Nurse in the Delivery Room Slapped Me… Once”

What It Is – And What It’s Not

Above all else, here's what's important to note... Although there are most definitely elements of warmth and encouragement to be found, as the title implies (sort of anyway) - the style and frankness of the book's content is far from the traditional content of typical inspirational and motivational books on the market. In other words, by no means is it a feel good, just-believe-and-things-will-happen-for-you offering. Instead, the message from the inspirational poems and stories is... increasing your happiness and fulfillment begins with refocusing your thoughts, beliefs and degree of commitment – and then simply persevering, each and every day. It’s about faith in the great power we have within and even greater faith in even greater things. It’s about the power we have to choose what we will think, say and do today – and whom we will inspire… It’s about this life and the finite time we’ve been blessed with and how we will, from this point, choose to spend it.

The amazing thing is the perspectives presented in the book's inspirational poems and life stories are just as relevant for the admittedly skeptical as they are for the avid reader with the collection of twenty-seven inspirational and motivational books on his or her bookshelf. The motivating and inspiring perspectives are just as relevant for the young and the not so young... for those chasing big dreams and those with magnificent dreams still to be defined... for those with tremendous means and those now truly ready to begin to ascend... for those who wake up everyday with a smile and those who don't particularly appreciate the ‘Smilers’. The perspectives offered in the book's poems and stories can be relevant for just about anyone. And these are the perspectives that are the foundation, inspiration and very purpose for the atypical collection of inspiring poems, stories and quotations shared in this uniquely inspirational and motivational book.

And so, these are the motivating and inspiring perspectives, and this is the book, that will challenge and uplift you, if you are truly ready to begin to perceive yourself, your life, your destiny and the world around you in a new and more inspired way... if you are truly ready to begin to expect and demand more from each day - much as these perspectives, stories and poems from the book have begun to impact three-time-author Betty Dravis, as passionately shared in her five star Amazon.com review of "The Nurse in the Delivery Room Slapped Me... Once" below.

Thanks Ms. Dravis for embracing your potential, having the desire and motivation to endeavor to make a greater difference in the world around you, the inspirational and motivational lift for me - and for, in such an awesome fashion, reminding me exactly why I do what I do. Thank you.

Be forever inspired…

Death, Dying, Terminal Illness and a Better Appreciation for Life

One unpopular and often times intentionally avoided topic I endeavor to take on in a frank and unabashed manner in my motivational and inspirational book, “The Nurse in the Delivery Room Slapped Me… Once” is the topic of death. Specifically, there’s a chapter, “Eventually, Death Visits Us All” that features compelling inspirational stories and poems particular to the topics of dealing with loss, terminal illness and death.

I told a reporter recently, who was interviewing me about the book, which often times our society seems to do everything we possibly can to ignore, and otherwise avoid, the thought of death, dying, terminal illness – or anything of the sort. Perhaps, we somehow think if we can manage not to think about it, or acknowledge it, we somehow will never have to deal with it… it will somehow never manage to cross our paths. Well, obviously nothing could be further from the truth.

The reality is… whether we think about it or not, the grains of sand continue to make their respective ways through the hourglasses of our lives. And ultimately whether we choose to appreciate it or not, each day… each hour… each minute… is both precious and fleeting. For each span of time in our lives represents a window of time we will not be getting back. Spend it wisely - or not… Spend it positively - or not… Spend it in a way that brings more purpose, achievement, passion, inspiration, happiness and fulfillment to our lives – or not… The reality is, that time simply won’t be coming back.

So, what does all this have to do with a motivational and inspirational book? Well, my contention is gaining a healthy appreciation of death is a surefire way of optimizing one’s perspective and appreciation of life. How? Simply put, there’s no better way to crystallize the value of time – and the absolute importance of how we decide to spend each day… each hour… each and every minute of our respective lives. With that new appreciation for life, the nature of our perceptions, thoughts, intentions, decisions and behaviors have incredible license to change – and from there, tomorrow and every day after can never be the same.

And thus, whether you or someone you care about is struggling to deal with the concept of death, trying to find the strength to support someone through a terminal illness, endeavoring to better appreciate the perspective of someone you care about who may be dying or pained with the heartache of a loved one lost the stories and poems in this book can be a source of perspective, inspiration and empowerment. (Click here to read an inspirational story excerpt from “Eventually, Death Visits Us All) Conversely, if you would like to get a gain a better appreciation for life… for the importance and relevance of the time we are blessed with each and every day, if you would like to begin to develop a an enhanced sense of purpose, inspiration, motivation, empowerment and sheer determination to get the most out of life - well then, this very well may be the book for you.

For once we truly come to appreciate the time we’ve been blessed with, not living it to the fullest, not doing purposeful things and not spending it with the people most meaningful in our lives – can no longer be an option.

The only question is… Are you ready for a new perspective?

Motivational and Inspirational Book by D Anthony

Perspective from “The Nurse in the Delivery Room Slapped Me… Once”, a Motivational and Inspirational Book

Here’s a thought for you as you prepare to start your weekend. Consider it – and see where the perspective takes you…

There simply has to be more to life than the here and now, than the ever present obligations, the bills, the worry, the stress, the job, the trivial day-to-day pursuits, a calendar overflowing with planned events, that next vacation getaway, the never ending quest for bigger and better possessions, and all the other trappings of perceived contemporary success. Our lives are supposed to be more than the hustle and bustle, than passing the time wondering, wishing, and waiting, than the daily grind of managing to live through each individual day until there are none.

No, our intended destiny has to be about bigger, more meaningful, timeless, and lasting concepts like purpose, discovery, charity, faith, love, happiness, and fulfillment. It is vital we come to appreciate that with the right attitude and choices, our lives can, and will, make a difference, that within us we have the power to monumentally change ourselves and influence others.

And it all begins with perspective. The kind of perspective you’ll find within…

Each day, be inspired – then aspire to more…

The Nurse in the Delivery Room Slapped Me...Once

This is a book of potential, faith, purpose, hopes and dreams. This is a book about the importance of time, the power of choice, growth, toughening up and having a heart, commitment, passion, and inspiration. This is a book that considers the ups and downs, life, and death – and what it all means. More than anything however, this is a book that considers a journey’s impact, a life-long quest for meaning, happiness and fulfillment, and the resulting stories, perspectives, and lessons that I have collected along the way.
